OSHA regulations mandate that anyone operating a scissor lift must receive proper training and certification. The goal of this requirement is to reduce the many fatalities that occur each year due to powered industrial truck-related accidents, with an average of 200-250 fatalities annually. Forklift Academy, a leading provider of forklift and scissor lift certification, has developed an affordable and effective training program available at training facilities across the USA.
The class lasts approximately 3-4 hours and includes a written test, along with “on the equipment” evaluations. Students will learn to operate scissor lifts, understand safety features, handle maintenance, and tackle real-world scenarios in a controlled environment. Job placement assistance is also available, with partnerships for potential job openings.
